It takes quite a bit of equipment, manpower, and money to keep a line free of vegetation and to keep a recreational railroad operating.. Of course, this is all dependent on the funds we receive matching the costs we need to spend. You can help us by donating to BRRR today. However, money isn't the only donation you can make to the Bass Run Rail Riders. We are desperately in need of manpower to help clear the right of way. We will do this for the most part using chainsaws, clippers, and brute force. Ten years of growth takes time to clear. In addition, we will need to keep our existing right of way clear. This will consist of "maintenance weekends" involving mowing and spraying with herbicides to keep the vegetation suppressed.
